This is my story of how embracing emotional intelligence not only saved me but also helped me thrive in the aftermath of overwhelming adversity.


The Ground Shook Beneath My Feet


I remember the day the earthquake hit. I was living in a small town situated in a valley. Suddenly, the ground shook violently, and buildings collapsed like they were made of paper. My heart raced, and panic surged through me. It was tempting to let fear take control. But I had recently started learning about emotional intelligence.
